Terms of purchase
Last updated 31 July 2026
These terms apply when you sell hardware to We Buy Servers, a trading name of PYCO RENEW LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 16774881, registered office Unit D13 Fieldhouse Industrial Estate, Fieldhouse Rd, Rochdale OL12 0AA, United Kingdom. VAT number GB505306526. We buy from businesses; these terms are not consumer terms.
1. Valuation
The valuation we send you is based on the description you give us. It is an offer to buy at those figures, open for seven days, and it is not binding on either of us until the hardware has been received and checked. There is no obligation on you to sell.
2. What we buy
We buy hardware that was in working order when it was taken out of service, which we then sell on for continued use. We do not buy items that are faulty, dead or untested. If items arrive that do not power on or that materially differ from your list, we will tell you and either revise the figure for those lines or return them to you at our cost.
3. Title and authority
By selling to us you confirm that you own the hardware or are authorised by the owner to sell it, that it is free of any finance, lease, retention of title or charge, and that it is not subject to a claim by anyone else. You agree to indemnify us against any loss we suffer if that turns out not to be the case.
4. Identification and payment
It is our policy to see photo identification for the seller before releasing payment, and to pay by bank transfer only into an account in the seller's name. We do not pay in cash. These are company policies which we apply to every purchase.
5. Currency and method of payment
We pay in euro by SEPA transfer unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Where you are in a country outside the euro area we can usually pay in your local currency instead, at a rate agreed before collection. Any bank charges levied by your own bank for receiving the payment are yours.
6. Collection and cross-border transport
Collection is free and insured in transit. You are responsible for making the items available at the agreed place and time, and for making sure they are packaged well enough to travel — palletised, or racked and strapped, where the quantity calls for it. Risk passes to us when the items are loaded. We arrange the transport and any documentation required to move the hardware between countries.
7. VAT
Where you are a VAT-registered business in the European Union and the hardware leaves your country as part of the sale, you should provide your VAT number so the sale can be treated correctly for VAT. We will confirm the treatment in writing with the valuation. Nothing here is tax advice, and you remain responsible for your own VAT reporting.
8. Inspection
We check goods against the agreed list on arrival, normally the same day. Where the delivery matches, we pay on the agreed figures. Where it does not, we will contact you before doing anything else.
9. Storage media
Where you have asked us to price a server including its drives, you are responsible for clearing any information held on those drives beforehand. Where you are keeping the drives, remove them before collection and tell us, so the valuation reflects it.
10. Cancellation
You can withdraw at any point before collection by telling us. If you change your mind after collection but before payment, we will return the items to you at your cost.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our liability in connection with any purchase is limited to the price agreed for the items concerned.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not affect any right you have under the law of your own country that cannot be excluded by agreement.
